J+G invited me to photograph their wedding lunch celebration at The La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, CA. They recently eloped at The Santa Barbara Courthouse and wanted to celebrate with friends and family in San Diego. The La Valencia Hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It’s iconic pink paint pairs well with the lush vibrant greens all over the hotel. Think garden meets spanish architechture with a killer ocean view. I shot 35mm film, 120 film, and digital for this event.

I love when my couples add on film. It offers such a gorgeous look to wedding day celebrations. I enjoy shooting 120 film a bit more than 35mm. 120 has such larger negatives which means sharper images. It is much more intentional than 35mm and digital. You have 16 shots vs 36 or unlimited digital.
