My name is Nia (N-EYE-UH). I photograph weddings not just to document a day, but to preserve the quiet glances, the loud laughter, the fleeting, sacred seconds that slip by unnoticed. My lens seeks emotion—raw, unfiltered, and deeply human. While joy is often at the heart of what I capture, I’m drawn to the full spectrum of feeling: the nerves before a first look, the stillness in a held breath, the soft ache of a parent’s embrace.

I shoot in both film and digital, weaving the grain and texture of analog with the clarity and flexibility of modern tools. Color gives life to vibrant moments; black and white distills them to their essence. I work mostly with natural light—its shifting softness, its golden warmth—because it allows each image to feel as real as the moment it holds.

My work is guided by intuition, emotion, and a deep respect for storytelling. Every frame is a memory made tangible.

so here's my story

I was a 2025 bride!

I recently got married in July 2025 to my honey Josh. We got married at the Santa Barbara court house and had an intimate dinner after. It was the most MAGICAL and special day! I understand what it is like to be on both sides!

Fun facts:

1. I prefer shooting film over digital. Between 35mm and 120 film, I LOVE 120 more!
2. I have a 10 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Toast'
3. I am a San Diego native! I hope to never leave the best place ever!
4. I enjoy going out to local breweries & parks.
5. Before becoming a portrait photographer, I wanted to become a food photographer.
6. I have recently become obsessed with little gnomes to put into my plants.... I have a lot of plants.
7. Only one of my tattoos has a deep meaning to it
8. I met my husband out in the wild.... (public), He approached me while I was at dinner and gave me his number on a chopstick wrapper.
9. I believe that things in life with work out the way it should.
10. I think that life is too short to live a boring life and you should follow your dreams. I did!
